We think this is a first -- it's sure the first time we've ever seen anything like this. This unique trekking pole pair has a built-in electronic altimeter, compass, barometer, thermometer, chronograph, and clock with date time and alarm. And not only does the barometer have forecasting icons (sun, cloud, etc) it even estimates the likelihood of rain as a percent.
So basically, atop your trekking pole you can see that you are still traveling southeast, your altitude has only changed about 50 feet from the start of your day at 7am (despite going up and down different trails all day long), the temperature has fallen to 45 degrees, it's already 3:35 in the afternoon, and there is a 70% chance of rain in the next 6 to 12 hours. All of that information out of a pair of ergonomically gripped lightweight aluminum trekking poles.
Designed so that either pole can be used in the right or left hand, this ambidextrous pair both feature adjustable wrist straps and adjustable pole lengths.
